Menu Plan - Week of February 6
I am so excited! Thursday we will pick up our first CSA box and we got a new wok! Wohoo!
I a lucky - my CSA/co-op tells us on Sunday what will be in the box, and allows us to customize it. We have decided to just take the shares as they come, and have some fun figuring out what to do with the things we get. Right now, they are pretty tame - broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms, cucumbers, turnips, etc - but as the weather warms up, I am hoping to get some things we have never tried before. Until then, we will try new recipes for the fruits and vegetables we get.
All meals are served with various side dishes, including salad and fruit.
Breakfast:
Oatmeal with Blueberries
Cold Cereal
Lunch:
PB&J
Leftovers
Quesadillas
Dinner:
Some version of Crockpot Beans and Rice
Grilled Portobello Mushroom burger with goat cheese, Collard greens
Huevos rancheros, Mexican rice, refried beans
Chinese Take-Out Shrimp with Garlic, brown rice
Dinner out
Fake Arroz con Pollo and black beans
Mediterranean Tilapia, roasted vegetables

I am so jealous! We still have 6-8 inches of snow here--nothing green is even THINKING of poking out of the ground yet. Have fun; can't wait to see what you get.
